Job Description
Looking to add to our Legal team
Do you want to build a practice, not just bill hours? Martino Law Group is a fast-growing, client-centered Massachusetts firm on a clear path: to become the firm families and businesses trust most when everything is on the line. We’re hiring an experienced Estate Planning & Probate Attorney to manage and grow our estate planning and probate practice
This is a role for an attorney with a business owner’s mentality who will work with an experienced paralegal and client success coordinator. You’ll own client relationships, lead your own matters, help shape how the practice scales, and manage the team around you. If you want autonomy, real growth, and a firm that measures success by outcomes rather than hours logged, let’s talk.
Location: Melrose, MA — primarily in-office (roughly 80% in-office model), with flexibility
Type: Full-time
Compensation:$90,000 - $150,000+
Responsibilities:
Estate Planning & Probate Attorney responsibilities
Own client relationships and lead your own matters from first meeting through completion, building long-term “lawyer for life” relationships
Draft and manage wills, trusts, and estate plans (Level I and Level II) with clarity and care
Guide families through probate and estate administration with clarity and compassion
Manage and develop a paralegal and a Client Success Coordinator — set clear expectations and follow through
Host and speak at seminars and workshops (Wine & Wills, community talks, educational webinars) that build the practice and serve the community
Use AI and modern legal technology — Clio, Lawmatics, Decision Vault, WealthCounsel / Wealth Docx — to work faster and better, and help improve our systems
Help shape how the estate planning and probate practice scales as the firm grows
Qualifications:
Estate Planning & Probate Attorney qualifications
Licensed and in good standing in Massachusetts (an additional NH license is a plus)
Experienced in estate planning and/or probate — 5+ years preferred, though we’re open to a range of experience levels for the right candidate; mindset matters more than years
WealthCounsel / Wealth Docx proficient (or able to get up to speed quickly); familiarity with trust funding and MUPC probate practice is a strong plus
AI-forward and tech-comfortable — at ease with Clio, Lawmatics, or similar practice-management and CRM tools
A confident presenter who can host and speak at seminars, workshops, and webinars
An entrepreneurial team builder — existing referral relationships or a partial book of business are a plus, not a requirement
An excellent communicator — written and verbal — who inspires trust, sets clear expectations, and thrives in a client-facing role
Coachable and curious — committed to continuous learning and getting better every quarter
Estate Planning & Probate Attorney compensation
$90,000-$150,000+ On Target Earnings (with a $90,000-$135,000 base) with the ability to earn quarterly performance bonuses and profit-sharing. Our incentive plans directly align your success with the team’s and the firm’s.
What you get
Real room to grow: a defined path to advancement and leadership as we scale toward our 2028 vision of a $10M, four-office firm
Support already in place: a paralegal and Client Success Coordinator on your team, plus firm-wide systems, marketing, and a strong pipeline of leads and referrals
Cross-practice synergy: estate planning integrated with family law, business law, real estate, and probate, so clients benefit from the whole firm
A culture worth joining: disciplined, collaborative, and values-driven, with mentorship, team experiences, and leadership development
How we operate — our core values
These aren’t wall art. They’re our operating standard, and we hire to them:
Client First, Always: we understand every client’s goals before we prescribe solutions.
Problem-Solving First: every legal challenge is a puzzle to solve, not a problem to avoid.
Pursue Excellence, Always: we aim to exceed expectations, not just meet them.
Character Above All: integrity is non-negotiable — with clients, courts, and each other.
Quality at Every Touchpoint: details matter, from the first call to the closing of the matter.
Three-Way Wins: the best outcomes serve our clients, support our team, and strengthen the firm.
