Job Description
Job SummaryThe Lead Maintenance position is a critical role responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our production and packaging lines. You'll apply your expertise to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install essential machinery, contributing directly to our product quality and seamless production flow.Essential Duties:Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure efficient workflow.Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install production and packaging line equipment (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic).Fabricate components or parts as necessary to support repairs and maintenance tasks.Accurately maintain maintenance logbooks and complete all required paperwork at the end of each shift.Ensure all work adheres to OSHA, EPA, GMP, and other relevant regulatory standards, proactively identifying and addressing nonconformities related to food safety, product quality, and safety systems.Collaborate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules during maintenance activities.Provide technical sales support when necessary, assisting in the selection of appropriate materials or equipment for projects.Assist with monitoring and maintenance of critical energy sources, including boilers, refrigeration, fryers, ovens, air compressors, and HVAC systems.Foundational Skills: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associates degree preferred. Experience working with food manufacturing equipment with the specific knowledge of:PLC ProgrammingConveyor SystemsLaser Sensor ParametersPreventative MaintenanceCommunication: Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, especially regarding job tasks and safety regulations.Computer Literacy: Intermediate computer skills and ability to perform basic math calculations.Adaptability: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work assigned schedules, including mandatory overtime and weekends as needed.Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, repeatedly lift and bend, and handle mechanical or manual labor over 50 lbs. Must be able to withstand cold/hot temperatures.This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring safety standards are met within the facility.
