Low Voltage Apprentice in Ann Arbor, Michigan at Casey Services

Synergy Fiber is seeking a Construction Technician / Low-Voltage Apprentice to support a commercial construction project in Ann Arbor, MI.

No prior low-voltage experience is required.

We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals with experience in construction trades, contracting, electrical work, maintenance, landscaping, carpentry, HVAC, telecom, warehouse operations, or other hands-on fields who are interested in learning a new skill set.

If you are comfortable working with tools, following directions, solving problems, and learning on the job, we can train you in low-voltage and structured cabling systems.

• Work as part of a team on commercial construction projects.
• Pull, route, and secure cable throughout commercial buildings.
• Install cable support systems such as J-hooks, cable tray, and ladder rack.
• Assist with the installation of communication, security, and technology infrastructure.
• Help build and organize equipment rooms and telecommunications spaces.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Follow project plans, installation standards, and safety procedures.
• Learn industry skills and technologies through hands-on training.

Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required:

• Construction labor
• Commercial construction
• Electrical work
• Carpentry
• HVAC
• Facilities maintenance
• Telecom or cable installation
• General contracting
• Warehouse or mechanical work
• Any skilled trade

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work safely on ladders and construction sites.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team.
