Job Description
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) in AI, you will operate at the critical intersection of cutting-edge research, advanced software engineering, and business strategy. You will act as the master orchestrator for complex AI programs, translating highly experimental modelling concepts (such as Vision-Language Models, Large Language Models, and Agentic AI workflows) into robust, scalable, and production-ready enterprise solutions.
Your primary mission is to drive clarity from chaos, leading the R&D initiatives through the technology maturity gates targeting successful derisking and handover of the innovation to the product engineering team. You will engage various cross-functional engineering, research, and operations teams evolving the current processes and methodologies for best performance.
R&D Initiative Execution & Innovation Lifecycle
- Drive End-to-End Innovation: Plan, execute and deliver the multi-quarter roadmap for core AI innovation.
- Integrations & Release Management: Manage product release cycles, coordinating complex rollouts across hardware, software, operations, and quality assurance teams without disrupting critical production flows.
Risk Management & Innovation
- De-Risk Innovation: Track and evolve processes around defining rigorous, structured criteria to evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies, ensuring 90% of technical and deployment risks are eliminated before handing models off to engineering pipelines.
- Proactive Mitigation: Facilitate a proactive approach to risk mitigation and technical bottlenecks and dependencies, cross team and company horizons.
Stakeholder Alignment & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Bridges the Gap: Serve as the translator between highly specialized AI Researchers/Data Scientists and all the other technical teams cross company horizons.
- Governance & Compliance: Partner with Legal, Security, and Compliance stakeholders to observe responsible AI practices and data privacy standards.
- Resource Optimization: Strategically plan and track compute resource allocation, budget utilization, and overall execution velocity.

Technical Background
- Systems & AI Literacy: Conceptual and practical understanding of machine learning lifecycles and neural network architectures.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud and edge computing, distributed training, GPU orchestrations (i.e. Kubernetes), and model deployment frameworks.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in analysing operational workflows, designing tracking dashboards (e.g., Easy BI, JIRA, Big Picture, Tempo), and conducting data-driven post-mortems.
Program & Leadership Capabilities
- Complexity Solver: 5+ years of experience leading complex, AI, cross-functional technical programs from zero-to-one in a fast-paced environment, waterfall and agility frameworks.
- Agile & Beyond: Mastery of Agile/Scrum and modern hybrid project management frameworks, using AI automation tools to minimize manual coordination and administrative overhead.
- Influence Without Authority: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of aligning highly technical teams and executive-level stakeholders toward shared deliverables. Highly capable to drive consensus and manage disagreements within the decision-making process.
Education & Certifications (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a highly quantitative field.
- Relevant industry certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP or specialized AI project leadership credentials.
