This role sits at the heart of a fast-scaling, mission-driven organization building advanced AI systems for high-impact national security use cases. As a Technical Recruiter, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the teams that design and deploy cutting-edge technology used in critical defense contexts. You will partner closely with engineering leaders to identify, engage, and close highly specialized technical talent across multiple disciplines. This position requires creativity, urgency, and strong judgment in sourcing and evaluating top-tier candidates in competitive markets. You will also influence recruiting processes and help define best practices as the organization continues to scale.
This role is responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting efforts for technical roles while ensuring a high-quality candidate experience and strong alignment with hiring leaders.
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and engineering roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, interview structures, and success profiles for each position.
- Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage high-caliber engineering talent in competitive markets.
- Manage multiple concurrent requisitions, ensuring strong pipeline organization, prioritization, and timely communication with stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements and promote recruiting best practices across teams to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Provide a world-class candidate experience through proactive communication and coordinated interview processes.
- Leverage recruiting tools, ATS platforms, and sourcing databases to optimize search and pipeline performance.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical recruiting expertise, particularly in high-growth or mission-driven environments, with a proven ability to source and close top-tier engineering talent.
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, including at least 3+ years in tech or high-growth startup environments.
- 2+ years of recruiting experience in defense, aerospace, or adjacent high-security industries preferred.
- Proven full-cycle recruiting experience across technical roles and varied interview methodologies.
- Strong creative sourcing skills with experience using ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools.
- Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and influence hiring strategy and execution.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills in fast-paced environments.
- Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using spreadsheets and recruiting metrics to guide decisions.
