Job Overview: As a Senior Buyer, you will oversee multiple product areas, including sourcing, developing, and negotiation of pricing or contract terms. This role will involve executing new product concepts and representing the company at trade shows. You will be responsible for developing and planning seasonally appropriate merchandise arrangements, as well as identify key drivers of product performance. Additionally, you will be expected to operate in alignment with company policies and procedures, while exercising a high degree of independent judgment and initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of seasonal sales plans and open-to-buy (OTB)
Analyzes relevant data and interpret statistics in order to make timely and sound business decisions
Responsible for assortment planning and strategic vision within your assigned categories
Effectively manage sales, margin and markdowns
Manage plans for stock levels and be able to react to change in demand and logistics
Issue timely Purchase Orders (PO’s)
Actively participate and present in operational team meetings as needed
Monitor market trends within your categories to ensure competitiveness for the business
Handle Quality Assurance (QA) issues
Partner with GM’s at various locations to drive improvements in retail performance as a percentage of overall business
Attend Trade Shows as needed
Participate in site visits to our locations as needed
Perform other duties/projects as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a multi-store Buyer position
Demonstrated organizational and innovation skills
Comfortability in sharing opinions and thoughts in a clear, unbiased manner
Excellent communication Skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to analyze data, draw relevant conclusions, and generate positive results for the business
Advanced negotiation and persuasion skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel advanced functions (i.e. V look up, Pivot Tables, Macros, etc)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Adaptable to new systems and open to learning new strategies
Entrepreneurial Spirit and motivation to succeed
Food & Beverage experience is a plus
Proficiency with POS systems
Must be able to pass a background check
Flexible schedule, available early mornings, evenings, weekends, etc.
Must be 18+ years of age
Reliable transportation and ability to be punctual
Additional Expectations:

Adhere to all existing and future airport regulations
Performs other duties as assigned/required
Avoid any behavior or remarks that could damage the reputation of colleagues, the airport, or Tailwind Concessions
Follow safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of safety gear to prevent injuries

Physical Effort:
Normal physical mobility and agility (reach above the head, bend, or stoop)
Normal physical strength to handle 50+ pound objects, taking frequency into consideration
Normal ability to stand for various durations of time
Normal dexterity of hands and fingers for handling money, products, food, writing, etc.
Normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot/perform repetitive motions while maintaining good balance and coordination
Able to use hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning, and pulling

Fast-paced during peak hours
Close interaction with customers
This position follows a hybrid remote work schedule; however, the employee must reside within a reasonable commuting distance and be able to regularly report to the Winter Park, Florida location as business needs require
Travel Requirements
Travel required (up to 40%) to support operational and development initiatives across company locations
