Job Description

Ballard Marine Construction

Business Development Representative
1859-356

WHY JOIN BALLARD MARINE CONSTRUCTION?

Ballard Marine Construction takes on the work others cannot or will not. As a specialty marine and underwater contractor, we solve complex problems across Power, Water/Wastewater, Industrial, Environmental, and Transportation markets throughout North America.

What makes Ballard different is not just the work, it is our ability to step into difficult environments, solve problems others shy away from, and deliver when the path forward is anything but obvious. We bring technical depth, field experience, creativity, and a willingness to push hard for the right solution. That makes Ballard a company worth representing. We have a strong story, highly specialized capabilities, and the credibility that comes from doing work most contractors cannot touch. Our culture matches that same mindset. We are competitive, accountable, relationship-driven, and protective of who we bring onto the team. We expect people to know the business, take ownership, challenge the status quo, and contribute to where Ballard goes next.

For someone in Business Development, this is not a hard company to believe in. You are representing real expertise, real capability, and a team built to take on the hard stuff.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Vice President of Business Development, the Business Development Representative will coordinate and work with the Business Development team, Operations, Marketing, and Pursuit teams, initiate contact with prospective clients, attend various tradeshows and industry events, conduct market analysis, and develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.

· Trustworthy and Respectful - We are passionate about honesty, authenticity and transparency. No lies. No drama. No politics. We value constructive conflict and ensure that even in conflict we treat others with respect.

· Ownership and Accountability - When something goes wrong, we first “look in the mirror” before we “look out the window”.
