The role will help shape commercial planning, lifecycle management, market opportunity assessment, and launch strategy across a complex therapeutic landscape. You will work closely with Marketing, Market Access, Business Development, senior leadership, and other cross-functional stakeholders to translate market data into actionable insights. The position also offers significant ownership of external research partners, data providers, consultants, and the business insights budget. This is an opportunity to influence strategic decision-making within a fully remote, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop strategic frameworks that organize and prioritize critical business questions related to commercial planning, product launch strategy, lifecycle management, market opportunity, and broader business development priorities.
  • Lead primary and secondary market research, analytics, and competitive intelligence initiatives, translating complex market information into clear insights and recommendations for business decision-making.
  • Manage multiple third-party vendors, data providers, research partners, and consultants to generate high-quality data and insights for commercial and cross-functional needs.
  • Partner with Marketing and Market Access teams to develop strategic commercial plans supporting the launch of a pharmaceutical product in uncontrolled and resistant hypertension.
  • Conduct or support ad hoc literature reviews, epidemiology assessments, commercial opportunity analyses, and other market evaluations for senior leadership, business development activities, external presentations, investor communications, and board-level materials.
  • Monitor competitive activity across relevant therapeutic areas and proactively disseminate meaningful developments and implications to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Provide market and commercial inputs into revenue forecast development and updates, helping ensure assumptions are informed by relevant market intelligence.
  • Manage business insights budget planning and spending efficiently, balancing research priorities, data requirements, and available resources.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, with at least 8 years of experience in market research, data analytics, business intelligence, competitive intelligence, marketing, or a related discipline within the U.S. commercial pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. pharmaceutical market, ideally within general medicine, cardiovascular, metabolic, renal, or other high-prevalence therapeutic areas.
  • Demonstrated experience working with U.S. pharmaceutical market data sources, including claims, EHR, prescription, audit, payer coverage, and competitive intelligence databases.
  • Working knowledge of the drug development process and the ability to evaluate and interpret competitive clinical trial design.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel capabilities, with expert-level ability to create clear, compelling presentations, strategic frameworks, and executive-ready materials.
  • Experience with the U.S. payer and market access environment and relevant data sources is preferred.
  • Familiarity with major pharmaceutical markets outside the United States is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable business insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, external partners, and competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting commercial-stage pharmaceutical organizations is relevant to the role.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote position available across the United States.
  • Competitive annual salary range of $190,000–$220,000.
  • Opportunity to influence commercial strategy, market intelligence, and launch planning for an innovative pharmaceutical product.
  • Broad cross-functional exposure to Marketing, Market Access, Business Development, senior leadership, and other strategic functions.
  • Significant ownership of external research partners, data providers, consultants, and business insights initiatives.
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact market research and competitive intelligence programs within a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical environment.
  • Up to 10% travel, including occasional travel outside the local area and overnight stays.
