This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft Purview-based data security and compliance solutions across diverse client environments. You will play a key part in helping organizations strengthen their data protection posture through classification, information protection, and risk management capabilities. The position blends hands-on technical deployment with advisory responsibilities, requiring both deep platform expertise and strong client-facing communication skills. You will work on complex, enterprise-grade Microsoft 365 compliance projects spanning data governance, DLP, and insider risk use cases. You will also contribute to automation, reporting, and framework development to enhance scalability and operational maturity. This is a remote role with exposure to a wide range of industries and security challenges.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, deploy, and optimize Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 compliance solutions across client environments.
  • Implement data security controls including Information Protection, Data Classification, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Insider Risk Management.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies, automation workflows, and reporting frameworks tailored to client requirements.
  • Assess data security maturity and provide recommendations for improving governance and compliance posture.
  • Build dashboards and executive-level reporting to communicate compliance status, risks, and trends.
  • Support integration of Microsoft Purview with broader Microsoft 365 security and compliance ecosystems.
  • Deliver hands-on technical implementation work, including sensitivity labels, retention policies, and governance configurations.
  • Participate in client engagements, including pre-sales support, solution scoping, and technical demonstrations.
  • Contribute to internal documentation, knowledge sharing, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance deployment practices and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience implementing security and compliance technologies in enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview, including DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk Management, and Data Classification.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 compliance center and configuring governance solutions.
  • Solid understanding of data governance principles and Zero Trust security concepts.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell or similar scripting tools for automation and compliance management.
  • Experience implementing sensitivity labels, retention policies, and compliance rules.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support client-facing consulting engagements.
  • Microsoft security/compliance certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA is a plus.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Sentinel, E5 compliance features, or broader security ecosystems is highly desirable.
  • Consulting or professional services experience is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market benchmarks.
  • Fully remote work within the United States.
  • Opportunity to work on enterprise-scale Microsoft Purview and compliance deployments.
  • Exposure to advanced Microsoft security, governance, and Zero Trust environments.
  • Professional development support, including certification pathways.
  • Collaborative, consulting-driven environment with strong technical mentorship.
  • Opportunity to work across diverse industries and complex client environments.
  • Access to cutting-edge cybersecurity and compliance technologies.
