The Baraboo Police Department is seeking CERTIFIED candidates to join our team as a Patrol Officer. Our department strives to be community oriented--protecting and serving our community, while working with community members to address problems. General police functions include, but are not limited to: protecting life and property, general patrol, criminal law and traffic code enforcement, city ordinance enforcement, and maintaining public peace.

Our officers work 12-hour shifts, with every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. All officers are equipped with body-worn cameras and we offer AI report writing assistance.

We have one vacancy and will be establishing an eligibility list for any future vacancies.

SALARY
$35.06 - $39.70 for 2026, currently in contract talks for 2027 and beyond.

* Be a United States Citizen

* Have no felony or domestic abuse related convictions
* Have a high school diploma or GED/HSED
* An Associates Degree, OR a Bachelors Degree in any field, OR at least 60 earned credits from a two or four year college institution is desired.
