- Define advertising data frameworks, ontologies, and canonical metrics across campaigns, budgets, bids, creatives, audiences, and placements to enable consistent analytics and AI-driven recommendations.
- Build and maintain robust data models, curated datasets, and analytics pipelines using modern data engineering practices, ensuring reliability, quality, and scalability.
- Develop production-grade AI agents that analyze advertising performance, diagnose issues, recommend actions, and improve campaign outcomes.
- Design retrieval-augmented generation workflows, including search, ranking, grounding, and evaluation processes to deliver accurate AI-powered insights.
- Create and optimize agent reasoning systems, tools, and governance frameworks with appropriate human review processes and safeguards.
- Establish evaluation frameworks and monitoring dashboards to measure system quality, accuracy, latency, cost, and business impact.
- Run experiments, A/B tests, and uplift analyses to quantify improvements across advertising performance metrics.
- Partner with product, engineering, data, sales, and business teams to align priorities and deliver scalable AI solutions.
- Own projects end to end, from data infrastructure and modeling through AI logic, interfaces, deployment, and adoption.
- Improve operational efficiency through automation, internal tooling, and AI-assisted workflows.
- 4–7 years of experience in analytics engineering, data science, applied AI, or a related technical field.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL with experience building production-level data or AI solutions.
- Experience working with advertising, retail, e-commerce, or marketplace data.
- Hands-on experience with dbt and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery, including data modeling, testing, documentation, and data governance.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Airflow or similar orchestration tools, including monitoring and reliability practices.
- Ability to design and evaluate experiments, A/B tests, and statistical analyses to measure business impact.
- Strong understanding of advertising analytics concepts including ROAS, CPA, CTR, CVR, LTV, pacing, auction dynamics, and incrementality.
- Experience delivering production data or AI systems used by business stakeholders with measurable outcomes.
- Familiarity with AI evaluation methods, guardrails, retrieval workflows, and human-in-the-loop processes.
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Mode, or Power BI.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building AI-powered products, agents, retrieval systems, forecasting models, causal inference solutions, or retail media platforms is considered an asset.
- Competitive annual base salary range of CA$140,000–CA$148,000.
