Portfolio Insights Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Portfolio Insights Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to turn complex commercial and market data into strategic insights that shape portfolio decisions and business growth.
You will partner with cross-functional teams to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and support data-driven strategies across multiple markets.
By connecting analytics with real-world business challenges, you will help guide pricing, assortment, innovation, and go-to-market decisions.
The position combines analytical expertise, commercial thinking, and storytelling skills to influence key stakeholders and leadership teams.
You will play a critical role in improving visibility into portfolio performance through dashboards, reporting, and actionable recommendations.

Accountabilities:
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, consumer behavior, pricing, distribution, velocity, market share, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities, risks, and portfolio improvement areas.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting, scorecards, and recurring business reviews that provide accurate visibility into portfolio performance across markets.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear insights, recommendations, and strategic options that support business planning, pricing decisions, product launches, promotions, and portfolio priorities.
  • Collaborate with analytics, retail, wholesale, finance, operations, and portfolio teams to validate data quality, align reporting standards, and ensure insights reflect commercial realities.
  • Create executive-ready presentations and deliver timely insights that support leadership decision-making and measurable business impact.
  • Evaluate assortment opportunities, pricing strategies, consumer trends, and competitive dynamics to inform portfolio optimization.
  • Support continuous improvement of reporting processes, analytical frameworks, and decision-making tools.
  • Manage multiple priorities, recurring reporting cycles, and ad hoc business requests while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analytics, commercial insights, category management, portfolio strategy, revenue growth management, CPG, retail, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to transform complex data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience developing dashboards, KPI reporting, performance scorecards, and executive-level business reviews.
  • Proficiency with Excel and data visualization or reporting platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, SQL, or similar tools.
  • Experience analyzing sales performance, pricing, distribution, market share, consumer behavior, assortment, and competitive trends.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to strategic decisions around pricing, promotions, innovation, and market growth.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams including marketing, sales, finance, operations, retail, wholesale, and analytics.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Experience working in regulated industries, multi-state operations, retail, cannabis, or CPG environments is preferred.
  • Ability to operate independently with strong ownership, curiosity, and sound judgment.
  • Successful completion of a required background check.
