Why Join Quality Collision Group?
Top-5% Benefits Plan in America: Our team is our heartbeat. We invest in benefits that support your health, financial well-being, and future.
Earning Potential: Competitive compensation with six-figure earning potential in select roles.
Career Growth: Ongoing training, certifications, and advancement opportunities to support your professional development.
Supportive Team Culture: Work with a team that values integrity, customer-focused service, and continuous improvement.
Job Summary:
The Central Review Specialist reviews collision repair estimates and supplements before submission to ensure they comply with insurance carrier guidelines and Direct Repair Program (DRP) agreements. Working from a central office that supports multiple shop locations, this role catches errors early, reduces carrier rejections and re-inspections, and helps the company protect its DRP standing and KPIs.
Key responsibilities
• Review initial estimates and supplements written by shop estimators for accuracy, completeness and compliance with each insurance carrier's guidelines and DRP requirements.
• Verify labor operations, refinish times, included and not-included operations, and P-pages logic in the estimating system (CCC ONE, Mitchell or Audatex).
• Confirm parts selection follows carrier requirements for OEM, aftermarket, LKQ/recycled and remanufactured parts, including proper pricing and availability notes.
• Check that required documentation is present before submission: photos, damage notes, scan reports, OEM repair procedures and invoices for sublet work.
• Flag and correct non-compliant items such as unsupported labor, duplicate operations, missing line notes or unapproved rates.
• Communicate findings to estimators and shop managers, explain required corrections, and coach on recurring issues.
• Work with insurance desk reviewers and adjusters to resolve estimate questions, supplement disputes and reinspection findings.
• Track review outcomes and key metrics such as estimate accuracy, severity, cycle time impact and carrier audit scores.
• Stay current on carrier guideline updates, DRP scorecard changes and OEM repair procedure requirements, and share updates with shop teams.
• Meet daily turnaround targets for estimate reviews so repairs are not delayed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of collision repair estimating experience, either at a body shop or as an insurance appraiser or desk reviewer.
• Strong working knowledge of at least one major estimating platform (CCC ONE, Mitchell or Audatex).
• Solid understanding of DRP programs, insurance carrier guidelines and the claims process.
• Familiarity with vehicle construction, repair methods and OEM repair procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
• I-CAR Platinum, ASE (B6 Damage Analysis and Estimating) or similar certifications.
• Experience in a multi-location (MSO) or centralized review environment.
• Prior work as an insurance desk reviewer or field appraiser.
• Experience with ADAS calibrations and pre- and post-repair scanning requirements.
Skills and abilities
• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly across a high volume of estimates.
• Clear, tactful communication when giving corrections to estimators and working with adjusters.
• Strong organization and time management to meet daily review deadlines.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and shop management systems.
• Ability to work independently and make consistent, guideline-based judgment calls.
