Inventory Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to join our team and support the tracking, organization, movement, and management of materials and products throughout our production process. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to maintain inventory accuracy, assist with inventory counts, manage the Kanban system, and operate forklifts to safely transport and organize materials, ensuring a smooth flow of inventory to meet production demands.

A brief overview of key responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:

Inventory Counting & Tracking
  • Assist with counting and tracking raw materials to ensure stock levels meet production requirements.

  • Count RTS (Return to Stock) products and parts at different stages of production to maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Participate in end-of-month and end-of-year inventory counts, which may require occasional weekend availability.

  • Utilize the Sage 100 software platform to monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, track material usage, and generate reports that support effective inventory control and production planning.

Kanban Management and Inventory Maintenance
  • Oversee and manage the Kanban system to maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring supplies are replenished efficiently to avoid production delays.

  • Monitor Kanban cards and signals, adjusting reorder points as necessary to keep up with demand fluctuations.

  • Assist in maintaining inventory within the parts cage, ensuring parts are readily available for production needs.

  • Help coordinate and track parts across various stages of production.

Forklift Operation & Material Handling
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to safely move, load, unload, and organize raw materials, finished goods, and inventory throughout the facility.

  • Transport materials between storage areas, production departments, and designated inventory locations as needed.

  • Assist with receiving, staging, and putting away incoming materials while ensuring proper identification and inventory accuracy.

  • Perform required forklift inspections and follow established safety procedures and material-handling practices.

  • Maintain organized and accessible storage areas to support efficient inventory management and production operations.

Collaboration & Coordination
  • Communicate with the Purchasing Manager to verify inventory levels, control the flow of supplies, and address discrepancies.

  • Support the organization of purchased products and RTS products to maintain accurate and well-organized inventory.

  • Coordinate with production personnel to ensure materials are available and delivered to the appropriate locations as needed.

Additional Duties
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, supporting various aspects of inventory management, material handling, and production operations.

Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Forklift operating experience preferred; ability and willingness to complete company-required forklift training and authorization.

  • Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment and follow established workplace safety procedures.

  • Experience with or knowledge of Kanban systems in inventory management preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and inventory control procedures.

  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends for inventory counts.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software desired.

  • Ability to perform physical inventory and material-handling duties, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials as required, with or without reasonable accommodation.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in inventory control, forklift operation, Kanban management, and production coordination within a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
