Laundry Aide in San Leandro, California at Alameda Health System

SUMMARY: Under close supervision, the Laundry Aide is responsible for the cleaning of resident clothing and facility linen. Performs related duties as required.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.

1. Cleans washers and lint traps as needed. Immediately reports problems with equipment and need for supplies.

2. Collects soiled laundry from the resident’s room.

3. Delivers clean linen and resident clothing to resident rooms.

4. Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary work area.

5. Organizes clothes donation storage.

6. Sorts, washes, dried, folds linens and resident clothing; labels residents’ clothes.

7. Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units and returns linen barrels to the laundry.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

PAY RANGE: $28.56 - $34.52/ per hour

The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licenses and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
