Production Floater / Machine Operator in Simpsonville, South Carolina at Fitesa Simpsonville Inc

This position performs machine changeovers, cleans and prepares equipment, changes rolls and cutting blades, handles and organizes materials, and assists with extrusion and slitting operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Pay: $21 + $2 shift diff

Location: Simpsonville, SC

Shift: M-F, 6pm-2am with flexibility to work earlier or later given notice

• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• One to three years of manufacturing experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with extrusion, slitting, roll goods, automated packaging systems (preferred)

What You Will Do:

• Prepare production equipment for cleaning
• Read production order guides to determine equipment set up
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines
• Keep materials organized
• Assist other operators with extrusion and slitting
• Troubleshoot machinery
• Read and interpret product codes, production schedules, and operations documents.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
• Work around varying temperatures
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus
