Sales Manager, Propane in Rustburg, Virginia at Foster Fuels

SUMMARY

The focus of this opportunity will be to work closely with the Sr. Vice President of Propane Operations in establishing the Sales strategy for the Central Region. The Sales Manager will establish sales plans and goals for the Sales teams and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

SALARY RANGE

$100,000 to $120,000 Annual. DOE.

DUTIES

Assesses local market conditions, identifies current and prospective sales opportunities and develops forecasts, financial objectives and business plans for the sales center.

Demonstrates entrepreneurial leadership by working directly with other local companies to develop relationships and strategies for increased sales and identify emerging markets and opportunities for expansion.

Develops, implements and enforces sales procedures, policies and standards working with the Sr. VP of Propane Operations and Director of Operations to ensure alignment with Operations.

Recruits, manages and motivates sales team members and the Operational Support Specialist. Nurtures an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment.

Oversees sales team activities, holds sales meetings and provides ongoing sales training.

Stays up to date with industry changes, new product offerings, and effectively communicates changes to the sales team working with the Director of Operations.

Works with the Marketing Department to ensure networking events are scheduled and attended by the sales team and participate as a brand ambassador at community events.

Responsible for having face-to-face meetings with current and prospective customers to solicit business within a geographic area.

Takes ownership of customer satisfaction by addressing customer issues and seeing problems through to resolution.

KEY CANDIDATE SKILLS

Minimum of 3 years professional sales experience.

Associate degree or 3 years’ experience in the propane or related industry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work environment will consist of mix of phone calls and computer related tasks to assist with the customer experience. Customer inquiries can fluctuate based on seasonal demands which can also affect office hour requirements. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
