In this role, you will contribute to a high-performing accounting function within a global, asset-intensive organization operating in a complex and regulated environment.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple entities, supporting month-end close activities, and maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards such as ASPE and IFRS.
Your work will directly support the integrity of financial information used for strategic and operational decision-making across the business.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and controls.
The role also involves exposure to multi-system environments, including enterprise accounting tools and consolidation platforms.

- Manage the month-end close process for assigned entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting across multiple systems.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, including operating expenses, fuel costs, trade costs, and overhead allocations.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure the integrity of general ledger balances across reporting periods.
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial results and support financial analysis for management reporting.
- Produce statutory financial statements for multiple legal entities in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Support annual external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, documentation, and technical accounting position papers.
- Maintain accounting records related to insurance claims and other specialized financial areas, including joint venture equity accounting.
- Ensure proper system integration and reconciliation across platforms such as Oracle, IMOS, and Concur.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvements.
- Deliver ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to support operational and business decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA designation preferred or in progress.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a large, complex, or multi-entity organization.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, including ASPE and IFRS.
- Proven experience managing month-end close processes and financial reporting cycles.
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience handling large and complex datasets.
- Familiarity with ERP and financial systems such as Oracle, with exposure to reporting tools like Power BI considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong sense of accountability, professionalism, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
