About the Role
The Asbestos Intake Paralegal provides essential administrative support to the firm’s asbestos practice and intake team. This role supports the intake process by coordinating documentation, maintaining accurate case records, and assisting with client communications and case tracking. The position helps ensure that potential client inquiries and case materials are processed efficiently and in accordance with firm procedures.
This role is fully on site in our Fort Lauderdale office and reports directly to the Intake Manager. The ideal candidate is professional, empathetic, highly organized, and comfortable handling sensitive information while working in a fast-paced legal environment.
You Will:
- Answer live lead calls to assess potential eligibility for asbestos-related claims
- Initiate intake procedures for qualified inquiries and route files to the appropriate team members as needed
- Prepare and send case correspondence such as “Contact Us” letters
- Communicate with potential clients regarding case status updates when applicable
- Prepare, track, and manage FedEx labels and outgoing deliveries when applicable
- Maintain and update case statuses within the case management system
- Record and track case-related communications in the firm’s master tracking spreadsheet
You Have:
- Minimum 1 year of customer service, intake, or administrative experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly over the phone
- High attention to detail with the ability to accurately document complex information
- Professional demeanor with a compassionate, client-focused approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in a legal intake, asbestos, mass tort, or personal injury environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology, occupational history intake, or legal proceedings

Salary Range : $22-$25 per hour
The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
