About This Position
Summary
The Seasonal Activities Supervisor is a Moonlight Outfitters position requiring strong customer focus, communication skills, leadership, positive personality and ability to relate to and build trust with seasonal employees, Moonlight Club members, and guests in a safe and fun learning environment. This dynamic position will be expected to facilitate member activities such as archery, mountain biking, hiking, Yellowstone Park tours, scenic river floats, and high rope climbing in addition to providing supervision to the Activity Guides and Gym and Lake Attendants. This position works directly with the Outfitters Supervisor and the Outfitters Manager to ensure all expectations are met with safety and fun as the top priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet and greet members, assist with check-in and equipment usage, waiver completion, and field questions regarding trail maps and activities in both the gymnasium, yurt, and beach space.
- Provide safe, fun, and professional tips while outfitting members in gymnasium, climbing wall, and beachfront within Moonlight Basin guidelines.
- Build relationships with members and guests to verify appropriate use of spaces.
- Oversee use and cleanliness of beach, yurt, and gymnasium spaces.
- Help and oversee seasonal staff with daily opening and closing tasks including, but not limited to; trash and recycling disposal, restocking and maintaining facilities, and towel restock.
- Communicate with the leadership team regarding inventory, safety concerns, and areas of improvement.
- Help lead and organize special daily/weekly events using the gymnasium and lake areas.
- Facilitate member activities such as archery, mountain biking, hiking, Yellowstone park tours, scenic river floats, and high ropes climbing on an as needed basis.
- Assist the Outfitters Manager and Supervisor in overseeing all seasonal staff and day-to-day operations.

- Ability to initiate work activities, seek responsibility and make daily efforts to improve knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- Adult, infant and child CPR certifications are required prior to providing any services.
- Driver’s license and clean driving records are mandatory.
- Ability to safely drive 10-15 passenger vehicles including suburban and sprinter van styles.
- Outdoor activity facilitation experience in activities such as archery, climbing, mountain biking, hiking and river floating.
- Willingness to act as a leader and supervisor to your team members with the guidance of your Manager.
- Previous Supervisor experience.
Working Conditions
This position will be 25% indoors (gymnasium) and 75% outdoors (Ulery’s Lake and Guided Activities).
Work hours will vary depending on location; typically beginning at 8am and ending at 6pm. Conditions in the field are typical to those found at a lodge and working outdoors, exposed to the weather, and working in the water, grass, mud, with uneven and sometimes slippery surfaces.
When indoors the work environment is characterized as that found in a typical office and indoor basketball court environment, with moderate temperatures and noise levels.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, and/or walk for ten hours per day.
- Work both indoors and outdoors in all summer weather conditions as expected in Rocky Mountain region.
- Ability to use various tools and equipment as needed, including but not limited to, canoes, kayaks, sports balls, and indoor climbing wall equipment.
- Bend at the waist, twist upper body, kneel, crawl, climb, reach above shoulders, flex and extend ankle, knee and hip joints.
- Lift and carry up to 30lbs+, push and pull 10-20lbs.
