Golf Operations Supervisor

SUMMARY:


The Golf Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management and efficient operation of golf-related services and activities at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club. This role includes overseeing the golf cart fleet, managing supplies, assisting in staff scheduling, and ensuring that high service standards are upheld. The Golf Operations Supervisor will work closely with the Golf Shop staff and the Head Professional to maintain the smooth operation of the golf course and support the guest experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in the oversight and operation of the golf shop, ensuring smooth service and retail experiences for members and guests
  • Manage and maintain the golf cart fleet, including regular inspection, cleaning, and ensuring carts are available for use as needed
  • Ensure the proper management and availability of golf-related supplies (tees, scorecards, pencils, ball markers, etc.) at all times
  • Assist the Head Professional in scheduling golf staff, ensuring that the team is appropriately staffed for all shifts and events
  • Ensure that golf staff consistently uphold service standards and provide exceptional service to members and guests
  • Maintain communication with the Golf Shop and professional staff to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Supervise and assist golf operations associates, providing guidance and coaching on performance and tasks
  • Conduct regular inspections of golf carts and equipment to ensure all items are functioning properly and are ready for use
  • Ensure the proper storage and organization of all golf equipment, including carts, clubs, tees, and other supplies
  • Assist in setting up and managing golf events, including special outings, tournaments, and league play
  • Support the maintenance of the golf course and its surrounding areas to ensure they are in pristine condition for member and guest use
  • Perform regular inventory checks of golf supplies, coordinating with the Golf Shop to ensure timely ordering and stock replenishment
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting members and guests with any inquiries, equipment needs, or concerns
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining the golf cart barn and surrounding areas, ensuring a clean and organized work environment
  • Support the overall golf operation through other duties assigned by the Director of Golf or Head Professional

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree or educational equivalent preferred
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a golf or hospitality setting
  • Experience in golf operations, retail, or cart fleet management is a plus
  • Strong passion for customer service and a professional attitude toward all guests and staff
  • Ability to maintain high service standards, even under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and vendors
  • Ability to operate vehicles and golf carts
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance on golf carts and other golf equipment
  • Must be dependable, with availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed based on business demands
  • Must be detail-oriented, with a strong focus on inventory control and organization
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of golf-related software preferred
  • Must have a broad knowledge of golf, golf operations, and course etiquette

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors, occasionally in inclement weather. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. frequently. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to perform equipment handling tasks.
