Service Technician at Access Control Systems LLC – Sarasota, Florida

The Service Technician is an essential role for Guardian Access Solutions, maintaining equipment in all divisions, including access control and automated gate systems, to ensure comprehensive operation and preventative maintenance across our services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Repair and perform maintenance of access control equipment and gate automation systemsDiagnose and resolve errors and technical problemsComplete preventative maintenance on equipmentInstallation of new equipmentRecord service calls in dispatching system including time, service provided, and materials usedEducate customers on preventive maintenance and safety measuresOperate company vehicles in a safe mannerMaintain and develop good customer relationshipsMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsRegular and punctual attendance at work and provides appropriate flexibilityOther job-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of electrical/low voltage/access control industry/HVAC or similar experience, including weldingUnderstanding of basic relay logic, basic electrical wiring, using a multimeter for circuit testing and practical applied experienceAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair and service PARC equipmentAbility to perform independently as well as collaboratively within a team, and demonstrating a willingness to undergo on-the-job training as necessaryProficient time management abilities, a strong work ethic, and a keen enthusiasm for continuous learningGeneral ability to learn software and software driven hardware to make programming changes to recording devices as well as access control panels in the field via laptop computer, keypad or local programmerAs a condition of employment, employer will conduct a background check and drug screen prior to hireValid Driver’s License with a clean driving recordAbility to work flexible shifts and adapt to different work schedule, including on-call rotation for emergency after-hours serviceAbility to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements for 8+ hours a day, 40+ hours a weekAbility to understand, speak and write English

EDUCATION:

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
