Job Overview:
The Corporate Director of Finance, Data & Contracts serves as the primary financial architect and performance auditor for RWJBH Support Services. The role provides oversight of multi-million dollar fiscal relationship with Aramark, ensuring that our “management-only” model delivers maximum value, transparency, and operational efficiency. This position will be the “source of truth” for the system, translating complex operational data from Environmental Services (EVS), Food & Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, and Patient Transport into actionable financial strategies.

Required:
- Degree in Finance
- Previous Finance Manager or Lead Finance Analysis role in a large system or healthcare setting
- Demonstrated success in data analysis, reporting, finance, and contracts management.
- Exceptional financial, analytical, project management, and contract negotiation skills demonstrated in a competitive market.
- Must possess strong research and analytical skills, as well as excellent written & oral communications skills
- Ability to deliver information accurately in a fast-paced environment with insight and perspective.
Essential Functions:
- Vendor Oversight: Act as the lead administrator for the Aramark management-only master service agreement (MSA). Ensure all management fee, incentives, and penalties are applied accurately.
- SLA Enforcement: Audit Service Level Agreements (SLA) across all four service lines to ensure contract terms translate into operational reality.
- Contract Negotiations: Lead the financial modeling for contract renewals, expansion, or amendments.
- System-Wide Budgeting: Consolidate and manage the annual operating and capital budgets for all support service departments across the health system.
- Variance Analysis: Identify and investigate financial discrepancies between Aramark’s reported spend and RWJBH’s internal ledgers.
- Cost Containment: Design and execute “Value Management” initiatives to reduce waste in food procurement, chemical supplies and labor utilization.
- Performance Dashboard: Create and maintain executive level dashboards that track KPIs (e.g. Cost per Patient Day, Adjusted Patient Days, HCAHPS correlation, and Throughput times).
- Predictive Modeling: Use historical data to forecast labor needs and supply chain fluctuations for EVS and Food Services.
- Standardization of Reporting: Ensure data integrity across multiple facilities, aligning Aramark’s reporting tools with RWJBH’s internal financial systems.
- Pro-Forma Development: Create financial projections for new service lines, facility expansions, or technology investments (e.g. autonomous floor scrubbers or bedside dining software).
- Capital Planning: Evaluate and prioritize capital requests (e.g. kitchen renovations, transport fleet upgrades) based on ROI and clinical impact.
- Leadership Development: Promote teamwork and professional growth, encouraging creativity and accountability. Build a robust, cohesive leadership team and talent pipeline for succession planning across all Clinical Nutrition functions.
