Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the department Director & Patient Care Supervisor to assist with the care of patients being seen in the Cancer Center by performing nursing care; including vital signs, weights and measurements, documentation in the electronic health record, collaborating with nursing and interdisciplinary team members, interacting with patients and family, and managing necessary clinic inventory.

• Demonstrate effective communication skills to accurately convey patient information to RN, LPN and other members of the team in a timely manner.

• Demonstrate basic computer skills to accurately record vital patient information.

Experience: Hospital experience-Preferred, Phlebotomy-Preferred (training available)

License/Certification/Education:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)-Required
• High School or Equivalent-Preferred
