PRN Registered Nurse – Nurse Pool at HighFive Healthcare – Hoover, Alabama

We are seeking PRN Registered Nurses to join our Nurse Pool, providing flexible coverage across our Birmingham locations. This role is ideal for experienced RNs who thrive in a surgical setting and value teamwork, adaptability, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and apply clinical judgment to adapt to changing needs in real time
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including administration of local and IV sedation per physician orders
• Monitor and evaluate patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively in accordance with facility protocols
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and overall well-being throughout the surgical experience
• Maintain accurate documentation and utilize computer systems for clinical and administrative tasks
• Uphold strict patient confidentiality and compliance with all privacy standards
• Provide support across clinical areas and assist other departments as needed

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Critical Care, PACU, ER, or Cardiac experience preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Strong communication skills and a professional, patient-focused demeanor
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a surgical environment
• Flexible and willing to float between Birmingham-area practices as needed
• Willingness to assist with front office or administrative tasks when required
