Category Sourcing Analyst at Zausner Foods Corporation – New Holland, Pennsylvania

Summary/Objective

As a Category Sourcing Analyst, you will support the Category Management team by delivering financial insights, managing reporting cycles, building data models, dashboards, inventory and forecasting reports. You will have deep experience in commodity driven businesses, understand market volatility, cost drivers, margin optimization, and associated impacts on overall business profitability. Some travel is required with this role.

Essential Functions

• Develop simulation tools and predictive modeling for costs related to ingredient and packaging materials/scenario-based commodity price forecasts
• PPV analysis and root cause validation and follow-up with procurement category managers
• Vendor Forecasting & floor stock reporting (ingredient and packaging materials)
• Perform analytics and internal benchmarking for costs related to ingredient and packaging materials across sister companies, external partners, and markets
• Lead the payment term improvement roadmap in collaboration with Category Managers
• Lead the monthly validation and reporting of actual cost savings, projected savings, and cash flow improvement initiatives
• Manage procurement financial reporting cycles including price/spend and direct material budget forecasting, along with monthly actuals and PPV forecasts
• Evaluate and generate consolidated ingredient and packaging spend forecast and prepare supporting analysis
• Direct Material Tariff analysis and exposure based on origin source
• Perform quarterly financial risk reporting on existing and new vendors and work with procurement category managers to address high-risk suppliers
• Work closely with procurement category managers to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, including managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to enhance sourcing strategies and optimize supplier selection. Conduct in-depth analytics and respond to ad hoc requests to refine route-to-market strategies and update network configurations
• Evaluate and report PPV impacts from direct material price changes in collaboration with Category Managers
• Examine held supplier invoices against purchase orders and deliveries, resolve any discrepancies through assigned channels, ensure accurate processing, and timely release to ensure prompt payment

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered

Experience:

• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, proficiency in reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau), and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is required
