Job Description

Job Position Summary: Responsible for daily oversight of production control, production support and Buyers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent,
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 7+ Yrs Prior experience in production control or procurement in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ Yrs Prior supervisory or management experience in manufacturing.
  • 2+ Yrs Experience working in the Aerospace industry.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to conduct research and evaluating market condition for future needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, delegating task and providing guidance.
  • Ability to manage projects and get them done in a timely manner.
  • Ability to adapt to business needs.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information and provide instruction to the team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work of production control, production support, and buyers.
  • Responsible for establishing and coordinating production schedules, capacity planning, and resource demand.
  • Develop and manage an integrated master schedule for all operations, using company ERP system (TCS, Tactic, Infor-Visual)
  • Develop and maintain smooth flow of materials and product throughout the factory, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
  • Integrate buyers and production support teams into production control process to ensure reliable inventory management.
  • Support LT review by updating manufacturing LT’s corresponding to ERP systems.
  • Identify and assess risks, issues, and conflicts that may impact the schedule & develop mitigation plans for identified risks.
  • Develop, maintain and report KPI’s for responsible areas.
  • Work collaboratively with production and other support teams to meet goals.
  • Work collaboratively with compliance to ensure adherence to local and federal regulations (i.e. DPAS, ITAR/EAR, FAR, CFR)
  • Input all customer scorecard OTD appeals and corrections for adjustment.
  • Tracking commits, shipments etc. through S&OP monthly and Quarterly sheet
  • Conduct regular meetings and discussions with managers to review and analyze product status, and identify manufacturing, or supply chain bottlenecks. (Aged, WIP, MRB, etc)
  • Continuously improve master scheduling processes, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with procurement and resource management teams to ensure alignment between the schedule and resource allocation.
  • Develops and maintains an effective organization through the hire selection, performance management, discipline, training, and motivation.
  • Recommends or initiates personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, attendance, and disciplinary measures.
  • Directly supervises employees to include payroll, overtime hours, and PTO.
  • Participate actively in the strategic direction and planning.
  • Responds to building or employee incidents or accidents promptly and appropriately, and reports to management as the situation warrants.
  • Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
  • May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
  • May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
