Role Summary

The Sales Consultant at Kelowna Truck & RV is responsible for delivering a professional, customer-focused vehicle buying experience from first contact through to final delivery. This role plays a key part in helping customers find the right truck or RV to suit their needs—whether for work, lifestyle, or travel.

The ideal candidate is driven, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. You take ownership of your performance, build trust quickly with customers, and are committed to delivering a straightforward and positive buying experience every time.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement
  • Greet customers in a professional and approachable manner
  • Understand customer needs and guide them toward the right truck or RV solution
  • Deliver a transparent, low-pressure, and customer-first experience
Lead Generation & Prospecting
  • Actively generate leads through networking, referrals, and community involvement
  • Follow up on inbound leads in a timely and consistent manner
  • Build and maintain a strong personal pipeline
Product Knowledge
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of trucks, RVs, and inventory
  • Stay current on pricing, incentives, and manufacturer programs
  • Confidently present product features and benefits tailored to customer needs
Sales Process Execution
  • Guide customers through the full sales cycle including:
    • Needs assessment
    • Test drives
    • Trade-in evaluations
    • Deal structuring in collaboration with Finance & Insurance
  • Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and efficiently
Relationship Building
  • Build long-term relationships to generate repeat business and referrals
  • Follow up post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Performance & Accountability
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and performance expectations
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and professionalism
  • Take ownership of results and continuously look for ways to improve
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Service teams to deliver a seamless experience
  • Contribute to a positive and accountable team environment
Other Duties
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support dealership operations
Qualifications & RequirementsRequired
  • Minimum 2 years of past sales experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven
  • Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with customers
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-based environment
  • Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Assets
  • Previous experience in automotive sales, RV sales, or commission-based sales
  • Experience with CRM systems and digital sales tools
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Interest in trucks, RVs, and the automotive lifestyle
