We are seeking a high-performing Federal Account Executive to drive new business growth across U.S. federal government agencies.
This is a hunter role focused on developing strategic opportunities, engaging senior stakeholders, and closing complex federal deals. The ideal candidate has experience selling into federal agencies, consistently exceeds quota, and is comfortable navigating long sales cycles and procurement processes. You will partner cross-functionally with Marketing, SDRs, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to build pipeline, deliver compelling value propositions, and win new business within the public sector.

- Identify, develop, and close net new opportunities across federal agencies (e.g., OPM, DoL, DoD, VA, DHS)
- Build and manage a robust pipeline through outbound prospecting and marketing-generated leads
- Conduct deep account research and map buying committees across program, HR, procurement, and executive stakeholders
- Own the full sales cycle from discovery through negotiation and close
- Run consultative discovery conversations aligned to workforce development, hiring modernization, and skills-based initiatives
- Deliver compelling executive-level presentations, demos, and business cases
- Navigate federal procurement processes, including contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, IDIQ), legal, and security reviews
- Develop trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across federal agencies
- Multi-thread accounts and build consensus across large stakeholder groups
- Position CodeSignal as a long-term partner for hiring and workforce development initiatives
- Work closely with SDRs and Marketing to generate and convert pipeline
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure strong adoption and identify expansion opportunities
- Share customer insights and market feedback to refine CodeSignal’s federal go-to-market strategy
- 8–10+ years of enterprise SaaS or public sector sales experience
- Proven experience selling into U.S. federal government agencies
- Demonstrated success consistently meeting or exceeding quota targets
- Track record of winning net new logos and closing complex federal deals
- Experience managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles within government
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and contract vehicles
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior government stakeholders and decision-makers
- History of top performance (President’s Club, top rep rankings, etc.)
- Strong command of value-based selling methodologies (MEDDICC, Challenger, Command of the Message, etc.)
- High levels of personal ownership, resilience, and competitive drive
- Experience in HR tech, edtech, workforce development, or talent solutions
- Familiarity with federal hiring, workforce modernization, or skills-based initiatives
- Understanding of FedRAMP or federal compliance environments
- Experience selling into civilian and/or defense agencies
