Camper Support at Dedham Community Association Inc – Dedham, Massachusetts

Position Overview:

The Camper Support provides additional supervision and individualized support to campers who may need assistance with social skills, behavior regulation, transitions, or participation in daily camp activities. This role works closely with counselors, supervisors, and families to ensure all campers have a safe and positive camp experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide small group support to campers as needed
• Support positive behavior using camp-approved strategies
• Communicate regularly with camp leadership and families regarding camper progress or concerns
• Collaborate with counselors to adapt activities when necessary
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications:

• 21+ years old
• Experience working with children
• Experience with special needs or behavior support preferred
• Background in education, psychology, social work, or related field
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills

Schedule:

• Part time, 20 hours a week
• 8am-1pm, 12pm-5pm.
• Camp Season is June 22-August 21

Pay: $20-$22 hourly
