Service Assistant - Franchise at Guru Foods - Nevadenn, Inc. – Sparks, Nevada

Pay Rate: $12.50 to 13.00 / hour

A Denny's Service Assistant (combined Dishwasher and Bus Person roles) maintains restaurant sanitation, cleanliness, and efficiency by bussing tables, washing dishes, and supporting staff. Key duties include cleaning dining areas, operating the dish machine, stocking service areas, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining exterior curb appeal.

Key Responsibilities

• Dining Room & Support: Bus, clean, and reset tables promptly, assist servers with guest needs, and maintain a clean, safe, and inviting dining area.
• Dishwashing & Sanitizing: Operate, clean, and sanitize the dish machine; wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils to meet health standards; maintain the dish room.
• Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and maintain restrooms every 30 minutes, remove garbage, sweep/mop floors, clean windows, and maintain the parking lot.
• Stocking: Restock clean dishware, utensils, and supplies in the kitchen and service areas.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and inform management of hazards or guest complaints.

Physical Requirements & Qualifications

• Mobility: Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 8-hour shifts, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting to 25lbs.- 50lbs.
• Environment: Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment and tolerate extreme temperatures in kitchen/freezer areas.
• Skills: Strong "Guests First" attitude, ability to work as part of a team, and ability to work both inside and outside.
