What you’ll do...
- To deliver a consistently high standard as delegated by the Director of Hospitality Operations, supervises Front Desk, Reservation, and Guest Service operations during an assigned shift
- Ensure the shift team has a current knowledge of resort products, services, pricing, and special promotional offers, as well as daily VIP and special events
- Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of team members, with an emphasis on training and teamwork
- Proficient in the PMS and other systems used in the department; use computer systems to assist as needed to input reservations, ensure adequate room space and assist the Front Desk in meeting customer needs
- Maximize sales revenue through up-selling.
- Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints with tact and professionalism
- Effectively handle and resolve conflict situations on an as-needed basis
- Maintain the professional appearance of the Front Desk with a focus on hospitality and guest service
- Ensure guest satisfaction is consistently obtained
- Ensure the efficient and effective communication and coordination between the Front Desk and Sales, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance departments
- Make necessary adjustments to guest accounts
- Monitor cleanliness of lobby, coffee station, and front desk area
- Keep back-of-house area clean and organized, including the storage room
- Manage multiple deadlines, priorities and interruptions, adapting quickly and effectively to changing business needs
- In alignment with the Director of Hospitality Operations, provides regular guidance and direction to team members, leading employees to meet expectations for productivity, quality and goal accomplishment
- Support the Director of Hospitality Operations in providing constructive feedback to team members on a consistent basis via one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, employee recognition, and as necessary, corrective action
- Assist in managing the career progression, learning and development of team members; assist in retention efforts and participate in recruitment
- Perform One on ones with front line team members and supervisors
