Job Description
Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an excellent opportunity in Center Township, PA for a Clinical Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing weekly clinical supervision to therapy staff and ensuring the quality and compliance of clinical documentation within an inpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Co-Occurring treatment setting. This role supports the delivery of effective, ethical, and evidence-based care while maintaining adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Provides weekly individual and monthly group clinical supervision to therapists, ensuring adherence to best practices in SUD and Co-Occurring treatment
- Reviews, audits, and approves clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Ensures compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., documentation quality, medical necessity, and timeliness)
- Offers clinical guidance, case consultation, and support for complex or high-risk cases
- Monitors therapist performance and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and professional development
- Collaborates with the program Clinical Manager to ensure consistency in therapeutic feedback
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive client care
- Identifies training needs and areas of clinical education initiatives
- Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
- Conducts weekly chart audits for each therapist’s caseload
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Active, clinical licensure (e.g., LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience in SUD and/or co-occurring disorders, preferably in an inpatient or residential setting.
- Prior supervision experience required.
Preferred Requirements

- Familiarity with ASAM criteria and trauma-informed care preferred.
- Ability to balance administrative oversight with supportive clinical leadership preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Pass PA Criminal Background Check.
- Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
- Pass Drug Screen.
- 2-Step TB Test.
