Receiving Inspector
- (Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing)
- Location: Phoenix, AZ
- Salary: $20.00 - $30.00, Depends on Experience
- Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:00 pm, Overtime & Saturdays as needed

Responsibilities & Expectations
- Perform receiving inspection of raw materials and outside service provider (OSP) products.
- Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting or returning nonconforming materials.
- Review documentation such as certificates of conformance, test results, and process control records.
- Verify conformance to vendor purchase orders and/or customer requirements.
- Prepare raw material coupons for validation testing at third-party ISO 17025 accredited labs; evaluate and file results.
- Issue and manage closure of supplier SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests) and nonconformances.
- Document inspection results in reports, logs, and quality databases.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment following company and legal standards.
- Continuously improve job knowledge through training and technical reading.

- Vendor On-Time Delivery (E2 Receiving Summary)
- Vendor-Related Nonconformances (E2 NC Summary)
- Internal Escapes to Subsequent Processes
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- U.S. citizenship or valid Permanent Resident status required (due to defense-related work)
- 1–2 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, and inspection methods
- Proficient with measuring tools (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and customer documents
- Competent in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must pass a visual acuity exam

Physical Requirements
- The physical requirements of this position include but are not limited to those listed below.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, writing and typing
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds
- Occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting, bending and repetitive motion
- The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.
