Lead Security Engineer

You will design, implement, and optimize security solutions that improve resilience, compliance, and Zero Trust maturity.
Working remotely within a collaborative security-focused team, you will help protect critical systems and advance modern security practices.

You will collaborate with technical teams to integrate security into development processes and improve security visibility.

Accountabilities:

The Lead Security Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining advanced security solutions, improving enterprise security posture, and supporting the evolution of modern cybersecurity practices. The role requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams to address security risks and operational needs.

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security solutions that strengthen cybersecurity defenses and support Zero Trust maturity.
  • Operate and manage security technologies including endpoint detection and response (EDR), SIEM platforms, web application firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Develop technical solutions to remediate vulnerabilities and address security gaps throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Integrate security requirements into DevSecOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code environments.
  • Architect and advance Zero Trust security strategies using modern security platforms and frameworks.
  • Build dashboards and reporting capabilities to measure security performance and maturity metrics.
  • Analyze system designs and requirements to ensure security standards and compliance objectives are achieved.
  • Support security operations through troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and technical guidance.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in enterprise security engineering, cloud security, and modern security operations. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and effective communication skills.

  • Industry-recognized cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CAP, CEH, or Security+.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise security architecture, security engineering, and system administration.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on cloud security experience.
  • Experience with CDM, DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Experience managing enterprise security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust frameworks and experience advancing security maturity across enterprise environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with technical teams.
