Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm

OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Manufacturing Quoter & Estimator, you will be the liaison between our branches and our manufacturing facilities. You will develop an understanding of our manufacturing capabilities and processes. You will assist our Fastenal branch stores to serve their customers by offering custom solutions. Fastenal Manufacturing has nine custom machine shops that specialize in producing hard to source, custom machined or forged fasteners and specialty parts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Ordering materials and scheduling subcontracting processes
o Quoting and scheduling production
o Estimating production times and tooling costs utilizing our custom estimating software
o Providing customer support to our branches

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess manufacturing, customer service, office or sales work experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient computer skills
o Demonstrate attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess or are working towards a degree in Business/Marketing or a related education
o Prior manufacturing/machining experience

FULL-TIME BENEFITS:
Fastenal offers a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees. This package includes Health, Life, Long Term Disability, and Dental Insurance, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and 401(k) with an employer contribution.

COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $55,000 - 65,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
