About the role
DESRI is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Capital team in Hyderabad as a Human Capital Generalist. This role will serve as a key operational partner to the Core Human Capital function. The role is responsible for managing critical HC operations in areas such as onboarding, separations, benefits administration, statutory activities, etc. The role further undertakes talent engagement and talent development activities including other initiatives that help employees grow professionally and maintain a work-life balance.
This position is ideal for an early-career professional interested in building a strong foundation in Human Capital Operations within a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
What you'll do
- In this role, you will be responsible for handling various key employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, transitions, separations, benefits administration and learning and development with a focus on delivering positive, consistent employee experience at every stage.
- The core activities will also include managing accurate documentation, data entry, and validation, as well as contributing to HR process improvement, leveraging automation, and supporting audit and compliance readiness.
- You will also work with vendors to ensure timely execution of deliverables, while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- The role also requires you to drive and conduct employee engagement events to enhance employee experience.
- Furthermore, you will serve as a first point of contact for employee queries, demonstrating sound judgement and empathy, and escalating complex matters to the appropriate HRBP.
- You will partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to support BU-specific talent priorities, including people pulse analysis and BU-wise initiatives.
Qualification
The ideal candidate should hold Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of work experience in HR with exposure to both HR Operations and HRBP or generalist work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort working across HR systems, ticketing platforms and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage operational processes while balancing responsiveness, accuracy, and employee experience
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership, follow-through when managing competing priorities
- Analytical thinking and comfort with data - able to identify patterns in attrition, engagement, or headcount data and surface meaningful insights.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across levels and deliver messages clearly in both writing and conversation
- Professional presence, sound judgment, and ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion
