This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer based in United States.
This is a hands-on senior engineering opportunity focused on building and evolving full-stack systems for a growing cloud-based software platform. You will work across backend services, modern web applications, cloud infrastructure, and AI-powered product capabilities. The role combines day-to-day software development with ownership of reliability, deployment, observability, and technical quality. You’ll have the opportunity to apply agentic AI tools throughout the engineering lifecycle while also building intelligent product experiences. Working closely with Product, Design, and Quality teams, you’ll help deliver capabilities used by thousands of accounting professionals. - Design, build, test, and maintain full-stack capabilities across C#/.NET backend services and modern web frontend applications.
- Develop AI-powered product features using Azure OpenAI Service and related Azure AI capabilities, including document intelligence, semantic search, RAG, tool calling, and multi-step LLM workflows.
- Use agentic development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, and comparable solutions to accelerate coding, code review, refactoring, and technical problem-solving.
- Build and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support consistent and safe software releases.
- Design and optimize data access patterns using Azure SQL, Entity Framework Core, and raw SQL when required for performance.
- Improve platform observability through App Insights, Seq, structured logging, and other monitoring practices to enable rapid diagnosis and resolution of production issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and blameless post-incident reviews while contributing to long-term reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Quality stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers, share technical knowledge, and contribute to engineering standards and a culture of continuous learning.
- Help evaluate and implement modern architectural approaches, including containerization, microservices, event-driven systems, and infrastructure automation.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in senior or lead engineering positions.
- Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem, including .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework Core.
- Hands-on experience developing production-grade web frontend applications, including component architecture, state management, and REST API integration.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS services such as App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Blob Storage, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI capabilities into production applications using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, or comparable platforms, including agentic patterns such as multi-step workflows, tool calling, and RAG.
- Familiarity with Docker, containerization, and modern cloud deployment practices.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to make sound technical decisions and clearly explain architecture, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Experience with accounting, financial services, or B2B SaaS environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code using ARM templates or Bicep is preferred.
- Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, chaos engineering, load testing, capacity planning, security hardening, or SOC 2 environments is advantageous.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-204 or AZ-400 are a plus.
