Job Description

Salesforce Delivery Manager

Location: United States - we are fully remote!

Summary

Thunder’s Account Delivery Manager (DM) serves as the delivery-side owner of customer outcomes, operating as the “CEO of the project”, and is accountable for ensuring that delivery strengthens account health, protects executive trust, and produces measurable business value.

While Project Managers focus on day-to-day execution, the DM operates at a higher altitude — connecting delivery decisions to account impact and long-term value realization. Our ideal DM candidate brings deep Salesforce experience, enjoys the variety of work that comes with this function, and brings a seasoned eye for account health, accuracy in scope, and a lens for expanding relationships with existing customers.

As Thunder is just shy of six years since our inception, we welcome candidates who bring an entrepreneurial spirit, an appetite for growth, and a desire to make their mark on our growing organization.

Job Responsibilities
  • Growth & Expansion
    • Identify emerging customer pain points and map them to expansion opportunities
    • Partner with sales and delivery leadership to advance pipeline
    • Track and update outcomes continuously throughout delivery
  • Delivery & Scope Integrity
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at target margin
    • Confirm customer readiness and clearly defined outcomes before work begins
    • Monitor burn vs. progress and intervene early on risk
    • Uphold scope integrity and governance discipline throughout
  • Value Realization & Risk Governance
    • Define success metrics and track customer baseline vs. target KPIs
    • Lead business value workshops and Value Tree discussions
    • Surface delivery risks early and own mitigation plans through execution
    • Validate that scope and execution remain aligned to promised outcomes
  • Account Health & Executive Confidence
    • Monitor stakeholder sentiment and its impact on executive trust
    • Participate in executive updates and account health reporting
    • Think beyond the project plan to broader account impact
    • Leave every account stronger than you found it

Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ implementation/delivery consulting experience within the Salesforce consulting partner ecosystem
  • Successful track record serving as overall engagement lead for Salesforce implementations, with a significant understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Ability to align with executives and understand how the project supports customer’s overarching company goals
  • A keen eye for risk management before and during engagements, as well as for recognizing opportunities for revenue expansion with existing customers
  • Strong executive presence to appropriately manage through difficult conversations, taking a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Effectively facilitates meetings and relationships with key stakeholders and demonstrates consensus-building skills
  • Willingness to travel (potential for travel in a presales or delivery capacity)
  • Preferred: At least 2 Active Salesforce Certifications
    • Willingness to achieve additional certifications on emerging technologies as required per role
