Facilities Maintenance Technician

Culton Companies is an exhibit design and fabrication studio. We need a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our facility running — repairs, preventative maintenance, and general building upkeep.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Handle day-to-day repairs and maintenance: plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, power tools, general building systems
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot issues and know when to bring in a vendor
• Help with equipment moves, shop reconfigurations, and minor installations
• Coordinate outside contractors (HVAC, electrical, landscaping, etc.)
• Keep the facility clean, safe, and running smoothly
• Occasionally assist with a couple of ownership-related properties/vehicles (light, infrequent — not a daily part of the role)

WHAT YOU BRING

Required:

• 3–5+ years of hands-on building facilities and maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude across a variety of building systems
• Comfortable performing physical repairs and hands-on tasks every day — this is not a desk role
• Experience coordinating outside vendors and service providers
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong personal accountability
• High degree of discretion, professionalism, and trustworthiness — you'll work directly with ownership
• Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, professional demeanor
• Valid driver's license

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

• Full-time position — Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Flexible start and end times available
• Occasional evenings or weekends may be needed; some responsiveness required when issues arise
• Competitive pay commensurate with experience
• Based at our Trussville, Alabama headquarters facility

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent walking, ladder climbing, bending, and hands-on physical work throughout the day
• Comfortable working in a light manufacturing and warehouse environment
