Job Summary:
The Andrew Carnegie Foundation (“the Foundation”) has an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about peace, security and international affairs, and thrives in a creative, team-oriented, and problem-solving environment.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is proactive, has high initiative, is creative, energetic, well organized, and able to multi-task, prioritize, learn quickly, and must have some job experience within or relevant to the international relations sector. The Program Assistant will provide both programmatic and project support to the Senior Program Director, International Program.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications and Skills:
- College degree required, preferably with a major in international affairs, social sciences or a related field.
- Excellent proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work self-sufficiently.
- Strong presentation, planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical skills with fluency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new applications as necessary.
- Project management skills.
- Exposure to grantmaking experience a plus.
- Work onsite four days per week (Mon-Thurs).

Salary Range:
$74,000 - $80,000. New hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary hiring range posted depending on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
