We're looking for a dependable, passionate Cook who takes pride in preparing high-quality food while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.

Requirements:The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items according to SLYCE recipes and presentation standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen. This position works collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure guests receive consistent, high-quality meals and outstanding service every shift.
What You'll Do- Prepare pizzas, appetizers, sandwiches, salads, entrées, and other menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including pizza ovens, grills, fryers, and prep equipment.
- Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and temperature controls.
- Complete daily prep work and stock stations before service.
- Ensure all food is presented consistently and meets brand quality expectations.
- Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and fellow kitchen team members during service.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with health department standards.
- Assist with inventory rotation, labeling, and minimizing food waste.
- Support opening, closing, and deep-cleaning responsibilities.
- Follow all Embassy Suites, Hilton, and SLYCE operating procedures.
- Takes pride in producing great food every shift.

- Works well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

- Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
- Pizza, grill, sauté, or coal-fired oven experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Illinois Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Competitive hourly pay -$22.60
