This is an opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of the user experience across a growing digital platform serving creators and their audiences.
You’ll combine strong UX thinking with polished UI craft to solve complex problems and create intuitive, engaging experiences.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other stakeholders, you’ll influence the product from discovery through launch and iteration.
You’ll use research, testing, and data-informed design methods to understand users and continuously improve the experience.
The role also offers significant influence over the evolution of the design system and broader design practices.
With a high degree of autonomy, you’ll help shape both the product and the way design is practiced within a fast-moving technology environment.
You’ll also have opportunities to mentor teammates and contribute to a collaborative, ambitious, and growth-oriented culture.

Accountabilities
  • Own the end-to-end user experience across the platform, from problem discovery and research through ideation, prototyping, validation, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Tackle complex and multifaceted user problems by applying a broad range of UX methodologies to explore, prioritize, and refine effective solutions.
  • Create highly polished interfaces with thoughtful decisions around layout, hierarchy, typography, color, interaction, and motion, supported by clear design rationale.
  • Build, maintain, and scale a cohesive design system that supports product growth, consistency, and efficient collaboration across teams.
  • Conduct and apply user research using techniques such as journey mapping, user interviews, Jobs-to-be-Done, personas, assumption testing, and usability testing.
  • Lead user testing and validation activities to challenge assumptions, identify usability issues, and continuously improve the quality of the product experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring strong alignment and effective execution.
  • Champion design thinking and continuously improve design processes, practices, and standards across the organization.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to training and capability-building initiatives as the design practice evolves.
  • Consider accessibility, scalability, and the needs of different user groups when shaping product experiences and design solutions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex digital products and user experiences.
  • Strong expertise across UX and UI design, including information architecture, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and usability validation.
  • Demonstrated experience using diverse user research and validation techniques, including interviews, journey mapping, JTBD, personas, assumption testing, and usability testing.
  • Proven ability to build, maintain, and evolve scalable design systems.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset and the ability to take broad ownership of a platform's overall user experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other functions.
  • Comfortable working with significant autonomy in a fast-paced environment, making thoughtful decisions quickly and adapting based on new information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate ambiguous user and business challenges into clear, valuable design solutions.
  • Experience mentoring or informally leading other designers is an asset.
  • Experience with two-sided marketplaces or products serving multiple user groups is an asset.
  • Background in e-commerce, creator platforms, crowdfunding, or the creator economy is an asset.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices is an asset.
