Job Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Quality Engineering Technician I who will support the Quality Engineering team in maintaining product and process quality standards in a manufacturing environment. This entry-level role is responsible for conducting inspections, collecting data, assisting in root cause analysis, and supporting quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, basic understanding of quality tools, and a willingness to learn and grow within the quality discipline.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assemblies using various measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Record and report inspection data in compliance with quality control procedures
- Assist Quality Engineers in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Support the maintenance of quality documentation such as inspection records, non-conformance reports, and calibration logs
- Participate in first article inspections (FAI) and production part approval processes (PPAP), as needed
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures
- Communicate quality issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in quality inspection or manufacturing support roles preferred but not required
- Familiarity with basic quality tools and measurement equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Proficient in basic math and data entry
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow within the quality function

- M-Th; 5:45am - 6:15pm
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
