About the Role:
The Logistics Development Program is designed to cultivate future leaders in the manufacturing sector by providing comprehensive exposure to all facets of logistics and supply chain management. Participants will engage in rotational assignments across various departments, gaining hands-on experience in inventory control, transportation management, procurement, and distribution strategies. Minimum Qualifications:
- Juniors, Seniors, or recent grads pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Certification in supply chain or logistics (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through academic, extracurricular, or professional activities.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in rotational assignments across logistics functions including warehousing, transportation, and supply chain planning.
- Analyze and optimize inventory levels to ensure efficient production flow and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
- Support the implementation of logistics technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting capabilities.
- Assist in developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics effectiveness.
- Contribute to process improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing waste.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management.
- Engage with suppliers and carriers to negotiate contracts and resolve logistical issues.
