Job Description
We are currently seeking a Manager Ambulatory Center for our Moffitt South Shore Campus:
This position maintains dotted-line oversight of key outpatient ancillary services to ensure operational
alignment, coordination of patient flow, and continuity of care across the Moffitt Ambulatory Centers
(MAC). Dotted-line oversight includes Outpatient Infusion/Blood Draw, Outpatient Pharmacy, Outpatient
Radiation Oncology, Outpatient Facilities, Outpatient Security, Outpatient Food Services, Outpatient
Pathology Lab, Outpatient Patient Access, Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging, and all other ancillary services
operating within the MAC. This oversight is limited to operational coordination, issue escalation, and
alignment of daily workflows impacting ambulatory clinic operations, while primary accountability and
direct reporting relationships for these departments remain within their respective operational structures.
The Manager, Moffitt Ambulatory Center Operations provides onsite leadership and day-to-day
operational coordination for a multi-specialty ambulatory cancer center within Moffitt’s growing
ambulatory network. This role supports a complex outpatient environment by coordinating workflows,
facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered operations
across multiple service lines.
The Manager serves as a key onsite leadership presence and central escalation resource, partnering
with clinical and operational leaders to address real-time issues, support patient flow, facilitate service
recovery, and maintain operational readiness. This position works closely with physicians, nursing
leadership, support services, and offsite department leaders to strengthen communication, improve
performance, support standardization, and advance strategic growth initiatives across the ambulatory
campus.
Minimum Education
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required
Strong computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Advanced nursing skills; IV therapy,
intervention with emergencies, teaching skills. Demonstrated competency in in-patient and out-patient
best practices including patient care, technology, and processes
Preferred Education: Masters Degree
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Minimum Required: Current FL Nursing License, current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Minimum Experience Required
Three (3) years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience in Nursing
Supervisory experience in ambulatory, hospital, or complex healthcare setting
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
Master’s degree
Two years of experience in Oncology or specialty ambulatory setting
Multi-site healthcare operations experience
Experience leading through influence across departments
Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards
