This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Field Application & Product Specialist based in Brazil.

This role provides scientific and technical expertise to support customers using advanced microscopy and imaging solutions across Latin America.
The position combines customer engagement, application support, training, and pre-sales activities in a highly innovative life sciences environment.
You will help researchers, clinicians, and industrial users maximize the value of sophisticated technologies through hands-on guidance and problem-solving.
Working closely with sales, service, and technical teams, you will contribute to customer success and business growth.

Accountabilities:

The Field Application & Product Specialist will act as a trusted scientific advisor, delivering technical expertise and customer-focused support for advanced imaging and microscopy solutions. The role requires strong collaboration with internal teams, customers, and partners to ensure successful product adoption and optimized application outcomes.

  • Provide hands-on application support, including system installation assistance, customer training, troubleshooting, and post-sales optimization of advanced microscopy and imaging solutions.
  • Support pre-sales activities by acting as a technical expert during customer evaluations, demonstrations, and solution definition discussions.
  • Deliver workshops, seminars, and technical training sessions for customers, distributors, and internal teams across Latin America.
  • Collaborate with sales, service teams, and channel partners to strengthen customer relationships and support commercial growth.
  • Develop strong expertise in product portfolios and scientific applications while identifying opportunities to improve customer experience.
  • Support service teams with application-related troubleshooting and technical guidance.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive developments to provide relevant insights.
  • Participate in international training activities and maintain strong knowledge of emerging technologies and applications.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines advanced scientific knowledge, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to support customers in complex research and industrial environments. This position requires someone comfortable working independently, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and traveling frequently throughout the region.

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, or another related Life Sciences discipline.
  • Proven experience working with advanced microscopy or imaging systems, such as confocal microscopy, camera-based systems, or equivalent analytical instrumentation.
  • Previous experience providing technical support, application training, or scientific customer support in research or industrial environments.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 70–75% of the time across Latin America, with occasional travel to Europe and the United States.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, sales teams, distributors, and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, customer orientation, and ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly.
  • Previous experience supporting sales teams, channel partners, academic research institutions, or key life sciences accounts is a plus.
  • Spanish communication skills are considered an advantage.
