Mission of Role
Dental Hygienist will report to the Practice Administrator. The mission of the role is to deliver quality treatment and education to patients all while keeping them comfortable. To be able to explain their needed treatment with compassion and understanding. To help the patient become healthier.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Experience
- Maximize patient comfort during seating and throughout visits.
- Deliver exceptional care to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Administer local anesthesia safely and comfortably.
- Provide patient education regarding treatments and oral health products.
Clinical & Preventative Treatments
- Perform preventative hygiene care and routine cleanings.
- Execute Soft Tissue Management (STM) including comprehensive periodontal charting.
- Apply dental sealants for preventative tooth protection.
- Take high-quality dental X-rays and diagnostic impressions as needed.
Office Operations & Sterilization
- Maintain detailed patient notes and thorough clinical documentation.
- Update health histories and accurately record vital signs.
- Sterilize instruments and stock clinical supplies.
- Clean and set up treatment rooms efficiently between patients.
Schedule & Administrative Support
- Schedule hygiene patients for future recare appointments.
- Support the front desk to keep the hygiene schedule full.
- Perform other dental duties as required by the practice
