Field Supervisor in Port Charlotte, Florida at Ecosouth Florida LLC

We are looking to hire a Field Supervisor to manage our grading crews with the ability to establish and maintain business relationships with customers, building supervisors, and purchasing managers.

$65,000 - $70,000 yearly

The candidate should have the following skill set:

• Manage crew schedules and assess tasks ahead of schedule to ensure job readiness.
• Maintain and encourage a safety-first atmosphere in line with EcoSouth's best practices.
• Take ownership of assigned work sites and lead operational decisions within those communities.
• Work with crews to provide a high-quality finished product that meets customer and industry standards.
• Supervise and ensure the proper usage and day-to-day maintenance of heavy equipment.
• The ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
• Knowledge of Grading is preferred but not necessary.

Skills Required:

• Proven experience as a Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
• Ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team of workers.

• Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions.
• Demonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools, including reading a tape measure and using a hammer.
• Demonstrate ability to stack material properly.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, as well as work alone.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
• Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to wear all applicable PPE properly.

Physical Requirements:

• Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, give directions, and engage in other business interactions.
• Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
• Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
• Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools.
• Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg.
• Lifting: able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg.
• Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel.
• Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time, delivering information.
• Walking: Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements.
