Description:

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ENT & Allergy Specialists team. The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting physicians with examinations, procedures, allergy services, patient education, and care coordination. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced specialty practice dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain medical histories, vital signs, and accurately document findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Triage patient phone calls and portal messages, assess symptoms, and provide appropriate clinical guidance.
  • Administer medications, injections, immunotherapy (allergy injections), immunizations, and treatments as ordered by the provider.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions following allergy injections or in-office procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Assist physicians with in-office ENT procedures, including nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, biopsies, cerumen removal, and other minor procedures.
  • Prepare examination and procedure rooms, ensuring equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing, imaging, referrals, and follow-up care with specialists, surgery centers, and hospitals.
  • Review laboratory, pathology, imaging, and diagnostic results and communicate provider recommendations to patients.
  • Educate patients and families regarding ENT conditions, allergy management, medications, treatment plans, immunotherapy, and post-procedure instructions.
  • Process prescription refill requests according to provider protocols.
  • Maintain infection prevention standards and comply with OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Assist with prior authorizations, care coordination, and patient scheduling when needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, efficient clinical environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred; experience in ENT, allergy, otolaryngology, pulmonology, family practice, or another outpatient specialty is highly preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification is a plus.
  • Experience administering injections and providing patient education.
  • Knowledge of allergy immunotherapy protocols is preferred but not required.
  • Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining exceptional patient care and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity required to administer medications, assist with procedures, and document patient care.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and assist patients safely when necessary.
